Senior Technical and Installation Head-Elevators

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically strong Senior Technical &

Installation Head with extensive experience in the elevator industry, particularly in

elevator installation, erection, commissioning, troubleshooting, project execution, and team

leadership.

The ideal candidate should be a seasoned elevator professional who has worked with a well-

established and reputed elevator organization and has successfully led large technical and

installation teams.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, practical site experience,

decision-making ability, and the capability to guide and develop the technical team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Installation Leadership

 Lead and oversee all elevator installation, erection and commissioning activities.

 Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex installation and site-related

issues.

 Ensure elevators are installed as per approved drawings, specifications, safety

standards and quality requirements.

 Review technical issues and provide effective solutions to installation and

commissioning teams.

 Support the team in troubleshooting difficult technical problems.

2. Team Management

 Lead and mentor elevator installation engineers, supervisors, technicians and site

teams.

 Allocate manpower and responsibilities based on project requirements.

 Monitor team performance, productivity and technical quality.

 Train and develop junior engineers and technicians.

 Conduct regular technical reviews and guide the team on best installation practices.

3. Project Execution

 Monitor installation projects from site preparation through installation, testing and

commissioning.

 Ensure projects are completed within planned timelines and quality standards.

 Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Customers, Consultants,

Contractors and other stakeholders.

 Identify project risks and resolve technical or execution-related issues proactively.

 Monitor progress across multiple project sites.

4. Quality & Safety

 Ensure strict compliance with elevator installation and safety procedures.

 Establish and maintain high standards of installation quality.

 Conduct site inspections and technical audits where required.

 Ensure adherence to company procedures, statutory requirements and applicable

elevator safety standards.

 Investigate recurring installation issues and implement corrective actions.

5. Technical Planning & Process Improvement

 Develop and improve installation methods, processes and technical procedures.

 Review project requirements and identify potential technical challenges before

execution.

 Improve installation productivity and reduce rework, delays and technical failures.

 Standardize best practices across installation teams.

6. Customer & Stakeholder Coordination

 Participate in important customer and consultant meetings when technical expertise is

required.

 Handle escalated technical issues professionally.

 Explain technical solutions and project requirements to customers and stakeholders.

 Maintain strong professional relationships with key customers and project partners.

Required Qualifications & Experience

 Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or a related

engineering discipline preferred.

 25+ years of experience in the elevator / lift industry.

 Strong hands-on experience in elevator installation, erection and commissioning.

 Proven experience managing and leading technical/site teams.

 Experience handling multiple elevator projects and installation sites.

 Experience with reputed elevator manufacturers, MNCs or established elevator

organizations is highly preferred.

 Strong knowledge of elevator components, installation methodology, troubleshooting

and commissioning.

 Strong understanding of site execution, project coordination, quality and safety

requirements.

Preferred Background

Candidates with previous experience in organizations such as:

 Major multinational elevator companies

 Established Indian elevator manufacturers

 Large elevator installation/service organizations

 Reputed vertical transportation companies

will be preferred based on the relevance of their experience.
