Salary on Offer: Up to $155,000 + Super + 5% bonus

About the job:

Our client is a leading non-bank lending organisation who is looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join the team and work across a mix of transformation projects, new product initiatives and continuous improvement.

This is a highly technical, hands-on BA role, with a strong focus on APIs, integrations, data mapping and end-to-end system interactions. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, developers, technology teams and third-party vendors to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and deliver practical solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Lead technical analysis across a range of technology and digital transformation initiatives.
• Analyse and document APIs, integrations, interfaces and system-to-system interactions.
• Create data mapping documentation and analyse end-to-end data flows.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Analyse system workflows and design end-to-end technical and business processes.
• Work closely with developers, architects and vendors to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Partner with business stakeholders to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and drive outcomes.
• Take ownership of requirements and independently drive initiatives through to delivery.
• Support testing, issue resolution and production readiness.
• Work across lending technology, including origination, servicing and broker platforms.

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst.
• 3–5+ years’ experience in banking or financial services, with end-to-end lending lifecycle experience across loan origination, servicing and broker platforms is essential
• Strong hands-on experience with APIs, integrations, data mapping and technical system flows.
• Ability to confidently interpret technical documentation, including Swagger/OpenAPI, integration specifications and solution designs.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile delivery.
• Proven experience working with developers, technology teams and third-party vendors.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and push back when required.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
