About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical to join TORQUP MALAYSIA SDN BHD in Penang Island, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our organisation, providing technical leadership and expertise across our operations. As a Senior Technical professional, you will be responsible for overseeing technical projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. Your strategic technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities will be instrumental in driving our company's success and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the Trades & Services sector.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and oversee technical projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and support staff
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, developing effective solutions
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of equipment and systems
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for project records
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution
• Train and develop team members on best practices and new technical procedures
• Report to Technical Manager for team work
• Manage technical resources and equipment efficiently
• Provide technical support to clients and liaise with them regarding project progress

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in a technical role within the Trades & Services industry

• Proven expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining technical systems or equipment

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with experience managing junior technical staff

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions

• Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in your field of specialisation

• Strong communication skills in English with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Knowledge of automation machines and assembly tools support

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively
