Senior Technical Consultant (JDE E1 Managed Services CNC)

ERP-One Consulting is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant (JDE E1 MS CNC), for a full-time remote employee role located in Canada. This is a newly created position distinct from the recently posted Senior Technical Consultant role, with different responsibilities. About the role

The  Senior Technical Consultant will serve as the primary escalation point for the managed services CNC team and will collaborate closely with internal team members and client stakeholders to design and deliver effective solutions to complex technical challenges. This role requires someone who is a self-starter, capable of working independently, and who is driven to solve issues, and improve the client experience. This is a remote role and must be based in Canada. Infrequent travel is a requirement for occasional team building and client projects.

Responsibilities

Senior Managed Services Support: 

• Provide escalation support for JDE E1, World, ReportsNow DAS, and Oracle Cloud applications.
• Perform de ep troubleshooting at all layers of EnterpriseOne, Middleware and Operating System including root cause analysis and reviewing E1 Log Reports.
• Identify clients’ recurring issues, configuration enhancements, and process optimizations.
• Meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs) through proactive monitoring, prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
• Provide backfill support for package builds, scheduled maintenance, system restarts, data refreshes, ESU installs, and security & user provisioning.
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams and support service reviews.
• Provide mentoring to team members, share best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

Solutioning and Consulting: 

• Partner with internal teams to assess client issues and deliver effective ERP solutions, during upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
• Guide clients on best practices and recommend optimal technology solutions to address complex business challenges.

Contribute to ERP-One success through sales support: 

• Stay current on Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Oracle Cloud, and related technologies.
• Support pre-sales effort s by assessing technical fit, defining solutions using the SEDA (Scope, Effort, Deliverables, Assumptions) framework, and ensuring smooth transition from sales to delivery.
• Support technical demos, proof-of-concepts, training, whitepapers, and presentations on product features and enhancements.

Experience and Qualifications

 

Must haves: 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in JD Edwards as a CNC supporting client projects and providing day-to-day operational support.
• Solid EnterpriseOne technical knowledge and experience supporting: Middleware layers including WebSphere, WebLogic, operating systems including Windows, iSeries, Linux/AIX/UNIX, Databases including MSSQL and Oracle DB, JAS, AIS, BSSV, OVR, UDOs, BI Publisher, 21CFR11, LDAP & SSO technologies, E1 Development issues (Reports, Forms, BSFNs, BSSV)
• Minimum 3 years’ JDE consulting experience.
• Relevant post-secondary education in computer science, information systems, technology, business, or related field.

Nice to haves: 

• Experience supporting E1 RTE and ADF
• Experience supporting common E1 peripheral applications such as RevSoft products, Autom8, ReportsNow DAS, Vertex, and DSI
• Experience in Oracle Cloud infrastructure, Oracle Database, or Linux platforms

Skills and Competencies

 

• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, problem-solve, and deliver effective solutions.
• Highly organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities, work independently in a remote environment, and respond quickly to changing client and technology needs.
• Tech-savvy with solid Microsoft 365 skills and a strong interest in learning and leveraging JD Edwards, Oracle, and related technologies.

Working Conditions

• This position requires long periods of sitting or standing while working on a computer.
• This position requires mental focus and can be moderately stressful at times due to the deadline driven nature of the work.
• This position requires ad hoc off-hours escalation support and scheduled on-call support may be required.

Rewards

• Expected base salary range $105,000-$120,000 CAD dependent on candidates’ qualifications
