Senior Technical Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, coordinating engineering activities, reviewing project documentation, and ensuring that construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project documents.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project and site teams.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and discrepancies during project execution.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Attend technical meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Assist with technical proposals, variations, and other project-related documentation.
• Monitor technical deliverables and ensure compliance with project schedules.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site personnel.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Technical Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in construction/contracting or a related industry.
• Previous experience in a Senior Engineer or Technical Engineer position.
• UPDA/MMUP registration is required .
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, construction methods, and applicable standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Qatar/GCC experience is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
