Senior Technical Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade technology solutions within the Banking and Financial Services sector . This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong blend of technical expertise, architectural vision, team leadership, and stakeholder management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading development teams, shaping technical strategy, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that support critical banking and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor software engineering teams throughout the solution development lifecycle.
• Define solution architectures and establish technical standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and project managers to deliver business-focused technology solutions.
• Drive technical decision-making and provide guidance on complex architecture and integration challenges.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, performance, and quality standards, particularly within regulated financial environments.
• Conduct code reviews and oversee design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
• Manage system integrations, APIs, databases, and cloud-based applications.
• Support project planning, estimation, resource allocation, and delivery governance.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and banking technology standards.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 9 years of overall experience in software development and technology delivery.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Technical Lead or in an equivalent technical leadership role.
• Proven experience in large-scale core banking or business banking migrations and support-oriented engagements.
• Strong understanding of banking systems, financial technology platforms, payment systems, digital banking solutions, or core banking integrations.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications in highly regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development and technical leadership.
• Expertise in software architecture, system integration, API development, and enterprise application design.
• Experience leading and mentoring development teams.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software development practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and containerized architectures.
• Relevant industry or technical certifications.
