Senior Technical Manager

Applications are invited for appointment as Technical Manager/Senior Technical Manager in the “Laboratory for Synthetic Chemistry and Chemical Biology (LSCCB)” located at Hong Kong Science Park, to commence as soon as possible, for 1-2 year contract with the possibility of renewal. Established as a research unit in Hong Kong Science Park, LSCCB integrates chemical science and biomedical science for the development of new molecular medicines and diagnostics tools forthe treatment and analysis of human diseases with a focus on cancer.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree and 7-10 years of experience in supervisory of technical aspect of research activities, such as Biological Mass Spectrometry or related disciplines, with excellent publication record in the research areas of cancer pharmacology, proteomics, metabolomics and Omics. Track record in Omics analysis and securing external research grants and managing funded projects would definitely be an advantage. The appointee will be in charge of the state-of-the-art mass spectrometers (TimsTOF Pro,Orbitrap, QTOF and QqQ and etc.) and will also lead research projects on Omics in amultidisciplinary team of chemists, biomedical and clinical scientists. They are expected to bring in new research initiatives in chemical biology for cancer research.
