Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Office Engineer to manage technical drawings, shop drawings, and engineering documentation, with a strong focus on furniture manufacturing and production requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate with design, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure technical accuracy, manufacturability, and timely execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve detailed shop drawings, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Develop furniture production drawings, including detailed dimensions, sections, assembly details, and material specifications.
• Translate design concepts and architectural drawings into accurate, production-ready technical drawings.
• Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and installation teams to ensure alignment between drawings and manufacturing requirements.
• Review technical specifications, material selections, hardware, finishes, and manufacturing details.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of drawings before releasing them for production.
• Identify technical discrepancies, resolve design conflicts, and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare material take-offs, cutting lists, bills of quantities, and related technical documentation as required.
• Monitor revisions and maintain proper document control for drawings and project files.
• Support production teams in resolving technical issues during manufacturing and installation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved designs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders on technical clarifications when required.
• Suggest improvements to drawing standards, production processes, and material utilization.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a technical office role, preferably within furniture manufacturing, joinery, fit-out, or interior works.
• Strong experience preparing advanced shop drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant 3D design/modeling software, such as SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of furniture construction, manufacturing methods, materials, hardware, finishes, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, design specifications, and technical requirements.
• Experience coordinating with production, procurement, design, and project execution teams.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
