Senior Technical Program Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join a growing technology organisation developing complex hardware and software products for demanding global markets.

This is a senior-level role focused on technical program management, product development and cross-functional delivery. You will work closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teams to drive products from early development through testing, production readiness and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex product development programmes from concept through development, testing, production readiness and delivery, managing schedules, budgets, risks and technical dependencies.
• Coordinate Engineering, Product, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and commercial teams to ensure technical deliverables are aligned and delivered effectively.
• Act as a senior technical interface for customers and development partners, supporting technical discussions, trade-offs, issue resolution and project reporting.
• Drive design verification, quality, certification, NPI and production-readiness activities while managing technical risks, corrective actions and complex engineering issues.
• Work with suppliers, contract manufacturers and internal teams to manage procurement, production ramp-up and global delivery requirements.
• Establish effective program management processes, maintain project documentation and provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams and junior program managers.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with a strong combination of program management capability and technical engineering knowledge.

You should have:

• 10+ years' experience in project or program management, ideally delivering complex hardware/software products.
• A strong technical background within engineering, aerospace, satellite communications, RF, telecommunications, networking or another technically complex environment.
• Experience with NPI, manufacturing ramp-up and production readiness, with a proven track record of delivering programmes on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams without direct authority, working effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Customer-facing experience and the ability to communicate complex technical issues, risks and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Project or Smartsheet.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline. A Master's degree or PMP certification would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% depending on project requirements.
