Senior Technical Project Manager

Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: Kansas City (hybrid with 3 days onsite)

Interview Process - Inperson

Project Planning & Delivery: Manage full life-cycle delivery for custom software from kick-off and architecture design through UAT, launch, and post-go-live support.

Technical Translation: Convert complex business requirements into clear technical tasks, architectural milestones, and development roadmaps.

Team Coordination: Lead distributed engineering, UI/UX design, business analysis, and QA testing teams through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Risk & Scope Management: Identify blockers, track dependencies, manage change requests, and mitigate technical risks before they impact delivery.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary technical interface for clients and internal leadership, providing accurate status reports and budget updates.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 4+ years managing software development or IT service projects, with a strong focus on bespoke or custom application delivery.

Technical Acumen: Solid grasp of system architecture, APIs, database design, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Methodologies: Expert knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and traditional SDLC practices.

Tools: Proficiency with tracking software like Jira, Trello, Asana, or Git-based version control.

Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and cross-functional communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior hands-on background as a software developer or technical lead.

Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP.

Familiarity with leveraging automation or AI tools to streamline documentation and reporting.
