Senior Technical Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project/Program Manager to support complex, highly visible initiatives within a large healthcare organization. This individual will serve as a key coordination point across business and technology teams, managing multiple priorities, dependencies, risks, and deliverables in a highly matrixed environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong, consultative project leader who can bring structure to complex initiatives, navigate tight timelines, build credibility with stakeholders, and effectively communicate project status, risks, and strategic considerations to senior leadership.

Work Environment

This is a remote opportunity , with EST working hours preferred. The position requires someone comfortable collaborating virtually across multiple teams and presenting to senior-level stakeholders.

Rate: 49-54/hr W-2

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical projects and initiatives, potentially managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Coordinate deliverables across business, technology, and other delivery partners.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and milestones.
• Manage resources across multiple delivery teams while ensuring work remains aligned with established scope and expectations.
• Identify project risks and break down complex challenges into clear, actionable plans.
• Provide concise, executive-level project updates and presentations to senior leadership.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and take a consultative approach to project delivery.
• Facilitate collaboration across highly matrixed, cross-functional teams.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and feedback to project team members.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant project/program management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
• Strong experience partnering with VP-level and senior leadership .
• Ability to operate effectively under tight timelines and navigate competing priorities.
• Strong risk, dependency, stakeholder, and delivery management experience.
• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
• Consultative approach with the ability to build credibility across business and technical teams.
• Experience working with government-related projects or programs .
• Knowledge or experience with FEP (Federal Employee Program) initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare, health plan, or insurance industry experience.
• Previous experience within a Blue Cross environment .
• Experience supporting regulatory or government-driven initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred. Candidates with significant related experience in lieu of a degree may also be considered.
