Senior Test Automation Engineer - Playwright | API | Java-based frameworks

Positions: 4

Role Purpose

Hiring hands-on Senior Test Automation Engineers with strong experience in Playwright, JMeter and Java-based automation frameworks. The majority of testing will focus on API, integration and service-layer automation, rather than only UI automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test solutions.
• Build automation using Playwright and Java-based frameworks.
• Develop API and integration test automation at the service layer.
• Perform performance and load testing using JMeter.
• Create reusable automation components and maintainable test suites.
• Analyse complex integration scenarios and identify appropriate automation coverage.
• Investigate automation failures and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks and engineering practices.
• Apply AI-assisted testing approaches where appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects and other stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Strong hands-on Test Automation Engineering experience.
• Playwright automation experience.
• JMeter experience.
• Strong experience with Java-based automation frameworks.
• Strong API testing and automation expertise.
• Strong integration and service-layer testing experience.
• Good technical problem-solving and debugging capability.
• Strong communication skills.
• Exposure to AI-based or agentic testing.

Nice to Have

• Banking or financial services experience.
