Your new role

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer (QA Engineer) who will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of modern web applications and backend services.

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving automated tests across multiple testing levels, with a primary focus on end-to-end testing. The role combines both automation and manual testing activities and offers the opportunity to influence testing practices, quality processes, and automation strategy across the organization.

This is a replacement position with the possibility of taking on additional responsibilities as the role evolves.

The successful candidate will join a project team of approximately 20 specialists, primarily focused on backend development and data engineering.

The team currently includes 4 QA Engineers, with testing activities mainly concentrated around UI and API layers. In addition to the project team, you will be part of a broader QA community supporting quality initiatives across Business IT.

Responsilibities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions
• Create, review, and continuously improve automated test scenarios
• Select and prioritize test cases suitable for automation
• Execute automated and manual tests
• Analyze applications and identify quality risks
• Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders
• Participate in test automation reviews and quality assurance activities
• Support CI/CD integration and test automation processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks, tools, and best practices
• Help ensure reliable and high-quality software releases

What you'll need to succeed

Must Have:

• 4+ years of experience in Test Automation (frontend and backend)
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
• Good working knowledge of TypeScript
• Experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts
• Strong knowledge of testing principles, test design techniques, and QA practices
• Experience preparing and selecting test scenarios for automation
• Knowledge of UI and API testing
• Understanding of frontend and backend application architecture
• Experience with CI/CD tools and development support environments
• Familiarity with AWS and GitHub Actions
• Experience working in Agile development teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Good communication skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work effectively in an international environment

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and Kafka
• Exposure to Java or Kotlin environments
• Knowledge of BDD
• Performance testing experience
• Experience working with AI coding assistants
