About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Test Development Engineer / Test Engineering Lead to spearhead our test development strategies, hardware/software design, and manufacturing test operations. In this role, you will define test concepts for new projects during the RFQ phase, supervise technicians, drive continuous improvement, and act as a key technical liaison between internal teams, manufacturing lines, and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Plan & Strategy Development: Define and develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and methodologies based on customer specifications and product requirements.
• Test Hardware Design: Design and manage the development of test schematics, fixtures, and interface circuitry for various test platforms, including In-Circuit Test (ICT), Functional Test (FT), and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Test Software Development: Create and debug robust test programs using industry-standard programming languages and software (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand, C++, Python) to drive automated testers.
• Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to the manufacturing line, addressing issues related to test equipment, processes, and product failures.
• Failure Analysis: Supervise technicians and lead root-cause analysis efforts on product failures and manufacturing yield issues, driving them to resolution with preventive measures.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve testing efficiency, reduce test times, and increase test coverage by optimizing processes and exploring new automation methods.
• Customer Interaction: Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers regarding test solutions, ensuring requirements are met during qualification and handover.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and train junior engineers and technicians to advance their skills and execution of tasks.
• Documentation: Create and maintain thorough documentation, including work instructions, test specs, and procedures, ensuring compliance with ISO and other quality standards.
• RFQ & Project Delivery: Deliver commitments from the team regarding First Pass Yield (% FPY) and test times as promised during the RFQ stage.

Key Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading a Test Development team or in a senior test development role.
• Professional proficiency in both English and Thai (written and verbal).

Technical Competencies

• Expertise in test hardware design, electronic product debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to define test concepts for each project and handle RFQ assessments.
• Strong design knowledge in electronics, test bench software, and lab instruments.
• Proficiency in operating laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, power sources, etc.).
• Familiarity with engineering software and tools including MS Office, MS Project, Visio, ERP, LabVIEW, TestStand, and Database development.

Managerial & Soft Competencies

• Proven leadership qualities with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and supervise a technical team.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for managing stakeholder expectations, working with cross-functional internal teams, and supporting external customers.

• Work 5 days, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
