Senior Thermal Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Lead end-to-end thermal design and development for target application segments (cold chain, NEV, or IDC), including system architecture definition, heat dissipation solution design, and full-cycle delivery from concept through mass production.

2. Own GPU/CPU cold plate and manifold design for IDC applications, or battery/motor/power electronics thermal management for NEV, or refrigeration system structural design for cold chain — covering design, simulation, optimization, and validation.

3. Drive research and optimization in solid-liquid heat transfer, flow resistance reduction, and thermal fluid selection; build and iterate CFD simulation models; guide cross-functional teams on structural optimization and validate results through prototyping and testing.

4. Develop dynamic thermal simulation models for transient solid-fluid coupled heat transfer; continuously improve models based on experimental data.

5. Lead hybrid air-liquid cooling solution design where applicable; balance thermal performance, energy consumption, and cost for target application environments.

6. Design and execute performance and reliability test programs (including accelerated aging, leak detection, and thermal cycling); produce test reports; resolve thermal design issues identified during validation.

7. Manage thermal design project deliverables; drive products from R&D through qualification and mass production handoff.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Thermal Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Engineering Thermophysics, or a related discipline.

2. 3+ years of in-depth R&D experience in at least one of: cooling system design and testing, thermal simulation, heat dissipation structure design, or thermal testing and optimization; domain experience in cold chain, NEV, or IDC is preferred for the respective roles.

3. Proficient in at least one mainstream thermal simulation tool (Flotherm, FloEFD, Icepak, 6SigmaET, ANSYS Fluent, or COMSOL) and one CAD tool (SolidWorks or CREO); capable of independently designing experimental programs.

4. Familiar with thermal fluid media, insulation materials, sealing technologies, and piping design standards; knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.

5. Familiar with cold plate or heat exchanger manufacturing processes and cost drivers.

6. Proven ability to independently define test plans, analyze data, and drive design improvements.

7. Strong cross-functional communication, project management, and problem-solving skills; innovative mindset and rigorous work ethic.
