Senior Tooling Design Engineer

About the role

Develop product from concept to working model with a good practical understanding of manufacturing. Provide advanced technical support to business development, marketing and program management teams. Provide innovative solutions concerning product design and development and Design for Manufacture (DFM).

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the design development program within budget and schedule constraints while meeting customer requirements
• Coordinate design program resources (people and material)
• Monitor and manage several design and/or prototyping projects simultaneously
• Provide service to all departments and troubleshoot any problems that may arise related to projects
• Facilitate product design transfer to developmental engineering, manufacturing and tooling
• Lead effort to improve systems to support program resources and the manufacturing process
• Provide appropriate documentation to ensure customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company operating procedures and manufacturing process techniques

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Precision Engineering or relevant
• Minimum 5 years of working experience with strong plastic tooling design background
• Possess good knowledge in CNC and EDM skills
• Experience in using Unigraphics software
