Senior Tooling Engineer (Mold Maintenance / Injection Molding)

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate technicians on mold tooling preventive maintenance (PM), verify measurement data, review PM reports and checklists, and approve PM completion.
2. Support mold refurbishment activities, install new mold parts, conduct sample trials, and perform visual and dimensional inspections.
3. Monitor tool life for critical mold components, perform periodic audits, and investigate any tool life issues.
4. Coordinate the resolution of daily mold tooling issues, conduct investigations, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
5. Generate 3D models and drawings using CAD software.
6. Coordinate special projects related to mold tooling and mold equipment.
7. Follow up and resolve mold equipment-related issues.

Special Skills

1. Technical Drawing Interpretation – Able to read and understand machine manuals, technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
2. Electro-Mechanical & Pneumatic Systems – Knowledge of motors, actuators, vacuum systems, and pressure control systems.
3. Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation – Ability to identify equipment issues and determine root causes to prevent recurrence.
4. Proficient in 3D CAD software for generating 3D models and drawings.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
2. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
3. Good communication and teamwork skills.
4. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
