Senior Trade Support Analyst

An international energy trading company is seeking a Trade Support Analyst or Senior Trade Support Analyst to join its London team.

The role will support physical trading activities in biofuels, working closely with traders, counterparties and internal stakeholders on trade data, payment arrangements, price confirmation, inventory management, and accounting administration.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the trading industry, with the Analyst level suited to candidates with 1–2 years' experience and the Senior Analyst level suited to candidates with 3–5 years' experience.

Main Responsibilities

• Communicate with counterparties and internal stakeholders regarding price fixing, payment arrangements and inventory management
• Maintain accurate trade data in trading systems through data input and reconciliation
• Record trade data and ensure the accuracy of reports and calculations
• Perform accounts receivable and accounts payable checks
• Maintain accurate hard and electronic documentation and filing
• Support audits, internal compliance requirements, and procedures
• Ensure documentation and communication processes comply with internal procedures and controls
• Support the design and improvement of business processes

Ideal Candidate

• Trade Support Analyst: 1–2 years' working experience in the trading industry, with general knowledge of trading, risk management, accounting or finance
• Senior Trade Support Analyst: 3–5 years' working experience in the trading industry, with general knowledge of trading, risk management, accounting, or finance
• Independent and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Meticulous, numerate, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Highly motivated to develop knowledge of international commodity trading
• Interest in sustainability and biofuel markets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in energy trading would be advantageous
• Experience working with Japanese and/or Asian corporates would be advantageous
• Knowledge of international commodity trade, including Incoterms and trade finance, would be advantageous
