Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Operations Supervisor to lead daily operations within a transportation facility. This position directly manages supervisors and hourly employees, with responsibility for safety, staffing, productivity, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and hold supervisors and hourly associates accountable for daily performance.
• Coordinate staffing, schedules, shift coverage, and workload to meet transportation and delivery commitments.
• Oversee daily execution, resolve service disruptions, and maintain clear communication across shifts.
• Reinforce safety standards, company policies, and applicable DOT requirements.
• Monitor service, productivity, labor costs, and overtime, addressing performance gaps through corrective action.
• Partner with facility leadership and customers to resolve issues and improve operations.
• Develop frontline leaders and build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

• Transportation operations leadership experience within a dedicated fleet, distribution, final-mile, or similar facility.
• Experience directly managing both supervisors and hourly employees.
• Working knowledge of driver operations, transportation safety, staffing, and performance metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to coach employees, manage competing priorities, and solve operational problems.
• Strong communication skills and a visible, hands-on leadership approach.
• Availability to support the facility’s assigned shift and operational needs.
