  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards.
  • Support service improvement initiatives and contribute to the achievement of agreed service-level objectives.

Essential Technical Skills and Experience

  • Linux Administration: 6–10 years of experience in Linux/Unix administration, with strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Veritas Technologies: Knowledge of and troubleshooting experience with Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM) and Veritas Cluster Server (VCS).

  • Linux Architecture: Strong understanding of volume managers, multipathing, kernel parameter tuning, and Linux system architecture.

  • Configuration Management: Experience with DevOps and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Enterprise Environments: Experience supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure, preferably within a regulated industry such as financial services.
  • Operational Support: Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, change management, and service operations.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience with SLES and Solaris, including x86 and SPARC platforms.
  • Industry-recognized Unix/Linux certifications.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and IT service management practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure design patterns, security standards, and operational best practices.
  • Experience supporting middleware technologies such as WebSphere, Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat, IIS, and MQ.

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results under pressure.

  • A continuous-improvement mindset, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and service quality.
