Senior User Experience Designer

We’re looking for an experienced Lead UX Designer to help shape and scale a growing UX practice. This is a highly visible, hands-on design role for someone who can take complex business requirements and turn them into intuitive, scalable digital experiences.

You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and senior leadership while helping evolve design systems, establish UX standards, and improve experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

This is an opportunity for a senior UX professional who wants to remain hands-on while having meaningful influence over how the UX function develops and grows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX design initiatives from discovery and research through wireframes, prototypes, and final design delivery.
• Create high-quality user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive digital experiences in Figma.
• Build, maintain, and evolve design systems, component libraries, and UX standards.
• Apply Atomic Design principles to create scalable and reusable design frameworks.
• Translate business requirements, user insights, and technical considerations into intuitive UX solutions.
• Conduct user research and leverage testing and A/B testing insights to optimize experiences.
• Design responsive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Partner closely with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and translate effectively into production.
• Present design concepts, recommendations, and rationale to senior and executive-level stakeholders.
• Help establish UX best practices and contribute to the continued growth and maturity of the UX organization.
• Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grok, and similar platforms to improve research, ideation, workflows, and overall design efficiency.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional UX design experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Figma.
• Strong experience building, maintaining, and governing design systems and component libraries.
• Experience applying Atomic Design methodology or similar scalable design approaches.
• Strong responsive and mobile-first design experience.
• Excellent visual design fundamentals, including typography, spacing, hierarchy, layout, and usability.
• Experience taking complex business requirements and translating them into wireframes, prototypes, and polished UX solutions.
• Strong understanding of UX research, user testing, and A/B testing.
• Working knowledge of software development processes and front-end technical constraints, with the ability to design solutions that can be effectively implemented by engineering.
• Experience partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior and C-level leadership.
• Ability to remain collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within financial services, fintech, consumer lending, or another regulated industry.
• Experience helping establish or scale a UX practice.
• Experience mentoring other designers or providing informal design leadership.
• Familiarity with incorporating modern AI tools into UX and design workflows.
