Senior Utility Engineer - Team Lead

About the Role

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering professional with a strong background in utility/facility systems who is ready to step into a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the utility engineering team, including 1 Utility Engineer and 1 Utility Tech
• Oversee utility and facility systems including chillers, air compressors, boilers, and dust collectors
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance (PM) plans
• Manage breakdown support, troubleshooting, and root-cause problem solving
• Drive corrective and preventive maintenance initiatives
• Lead project improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional project teams
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement planning
• Support energy-saving initiatives across the plant
• Respond flexibly to emergency maintenance calls as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience in utility systems, facility systems, project management, and energy-saving initiatives
• Direct hands-on experience with chillers, air compressors, boilers, and dust collectors
• At least 10 years of experience in utility maintenance, covering PM planning, breakdown support, corrective/preventive maintenance, and project improvement
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Positive, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated team player with initiative
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Willingness to be flexible for emergency calls outside standard hours
