Senior UX Researcher

Mandatory and non negotiable:

At least 2 years of experience working primarily as a UX Researcher (research as main responsibility, not secondary function)
Hybrid work model: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior UX Researcher to join Sanofi’s cutting-edge R&D Accelerator in Paris.

This is not a traditional research role.

You will not operate as a request-based service or be brought in only for usability validation. You will be embedded inside product squads as a continuous research partner, shaping decisions early, validating directions continuously, and ensuring the user voice is present at the speed of the accelerator.

Your mission is to help us transform research from an episodic activity into an always-on layer of product thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Be embedded within one or more product squads, participating in rituals such as planning, reviews, and retrospectives

• Proactively initiate research activities aligned with product timelines, without waiting for formal requests

• Establish and run a recurring discovery cadence (e.g., regular user interviews every two weeks)

• Help designers and product owners run lightweight self-service research when appropriate

• Maintain and leverage living project documentation to ensure research continuity and fast onboarding

• Deliver actionable research outputs that directly inform design, backlog, and strategy

• Contribute to building a shared insight repository and participate in monthly insight sharing rituals

• Help define and apply research standards depending on risk and project stage

• Support the creation and usage of standing user panels to enable fast testing cycles

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior UX Researcher in complex product environments

• Strong experience with continuous discovery, generative research, and usability validation

• Comfortable with ambiguity and capable to adapt and react

• Comfortable working embedded within cross-functional teams (Design, Product, Tech)

• Ability to translate insights into immediate, actionable recommendations

• Experience enabling non-researchers to conduct lightweight research activities

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Fluency in English (French is a plus)
