Senior Frontend Engineer (React / TypeScript)

Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai. # of Years of Relevant Experience: 5+

We're rebuilding the web interface of Enlighta, an established enterprise platform for vendor governance, risk and contract management, moving from AngularJS to a modern React stack. Much of the new code is written with AI coding assistants, so we need an experienced engineer who can review it critically, keep the architecture sound, and build the harder parts by hand.

What you'll do

• Build and review features in a React 19 and TypeScript codebase: metadata-driven lists, record pages, forms, and workflow actions.
• Own quality: review AI-generated and human changes for correctness, security, accessibility and consistency with our conventions.
• Grow the design system, which uses Tailwind CSS v4, shadcn/ui and Radix, with design tokens and both light and dark themes.
• Integrate with an existing Java/Jersey backend: session-based authentication, CSRF handling, and server-driven metadata and layouts.
• Write and maintain tests: Vitest unit tests and Playwright end-to-end tests, including tests against a live backend.
• Help design the runtime template engine that renders per-customer layouts.
• Read the legacy AngularJS code to work out existing behaviour when porting screens.

Must have

• 5+ years of frontend engineering, with 3+ years of React and TypeScript in production.
• Solid experience with TanStack Query and Router, or similar tools; component design; and state kept in the URL.
• Tailwind CSS, design-token-based theming, and accessible components (WAI-ARIA, Radix or similar).
• Strong testing habits with Vitest or Jest and Playwright or Cypress.
• A security-minded approach to rendering server HTML: sanitisation, XSS and CSRF.
• Good code-review judgement, including of AI-generated code, and clear written communication.

Nice to have

• AngularJS 1.x experience, since you'll be reading legacy code, not writing it.
• Hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code.

Tooling you'll use: pnpm workspaces, Vite, TypeScript, ESLint, Prettier, Vitest, Playwright, Git, and some Ant/Tomcat for the backend build.
