Our client is a leading national electrical contractor delivering complex electrical construction projects across the United States. Their portfolio spans commercial, healthcare, mission-critical, industrial, multifamily, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior VDC/BIM Manager to lead VDC and BIM operations across major electrical construction projects.

This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who can take ownership of BIM strategy, project coordination, model development, digital construction workflows, and VDC team leadership.

The Senior VDC/BIM Manager will work closely with executive leadership, Project Managers, Estimating, Engineering, field teams, and clients to drive coordinated project delivery and improve the use of technology throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead VDC/BIM strategy and execution across multiple electrical construction projects.
• Oversee BIM coordination, model development, clash detection, and constructability reviews.
• Manage and mentor BIM/VDC Coordinators and other technical team members.
• Establish and maintain BIM standards, workflows, and project execution plans.
• Oversee multidisciplinary coordination with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Work closely with Project Management and field leadership to ensure models support project execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency through VDC, prefabrication, and digital construction.
• Support estimating and preconstruction teams with BIM/VDC capabilities.
• Review model quality, coordination deliverables, and project documentation.
• Lead coordination meetings and resolve complex modeling and constructability issues.
• Help develop and implement company-wide BIM/VDC best practices.
• Support the continued growth and development of the company's VDC capabilities.

Qualifications Required

• 7+ years of experience in BIM/VDC within electrical or MEP construction.
• Previous experience in a Senior VDC, BIM Manager, VDC Manager, or similar leadership position.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction and BIM coordination.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit and Navisworks .
• Experience leading multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, constructability, and project delivery.
• Experience managing or mentoring BIM/VDC professionals.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale commercial, healthcare, industrial, data center, or mission-critical projects.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms.
• Experience with prefabrication and digital construction workflows.
• Strong electrical construction background.
• Experience developing BIM standards and execution plans.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
