Senior VDI Engineer

Role Description Job Summary We are seeking a Senior VDI Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Citrix and VDI environments. The role is focused on administering, maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting enterprise virtual desktop infrastructure while supporting reliable day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong independent capability in Citrix and VDI, along with working knowledge of NetScaler, WEM, and FAS. This position also involves leading and mentoring the VDI engineering and support team, collaborating across infrastructure teams, handling escalations, and working directly with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Citrix and VDI environments.
• Troubleshoot complex Citrix and VDI issues and drive them through to successful resolution.
• Apply strong Citrix and VDI expertise when investigating incidents, operational issues, and escalations.
• Support the security and stability of Citrix and VDI environments, including the implementation of relevant policy changes.
• Use knowledge of NetScaler, WEM, and FAS when supporting the Citrix and VDI environment.
• Lead, mentor, and provide day-to-day direction to the VDI engineering and support team.
• Collaborate with other infrastructure teams on cross-functional initiatives involving the VDI environment.
• Participate in incident bridges, drive issues toward resolution, and perform timely escalations when required.
• Communicate clearly with client stakeholders, including during high-stress incidents, and help teams reach successful resolutions.
• Support operations during prime US business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional rotational shifts and on-call availability according to defined shift plans.
