Senior Vice President, Unscripted Studio - Production

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Vice President, Unscripted Studio - Production to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This senior leadership role will oversee the production engine behind a slate of unscripted series and returning franchise programming. The position will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external production partners to ensure projects are delivered with strong creative quality, disciplined budgets, and reliable schedules. The ideal candidate will bring deep unscripted production expertise, a strong network of industry relationships, and the ability to guide teams through complex production and deal-making challenges.

Location: Los Angeles, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $275,000 – $350,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-volume unscripted series production and returning franchises
• Manage integration and product placement deals with network approvals
• Assess and approve production plans and budgets from external partners
• Provide guidance to resolve creative and production challenges
• Collaborate with key production leaders to ensure quality meets budget and schedule
• Innovate new production partnerships for domestic and international projects
• Supervise a team of production executives, with a focus on mentorship and strong relationships

Qualifications

• 15+ years of production experience in senior roles at major unscripted studios or networks
• Deep knowledge of all stages of unscripted production from casting to post
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, tentpole unscripted shows
• Direct experience with large-scale competition and culinary franchises preferred
• History of building and leading high-functioning production teams
• Strong negotiation skills for contracts, staffing, and clearances
• Ability to innovate in production models that align with current business realities
