Senior WAF Engneer

Role Summary

• Senior role responsible for end-to-end Web Application Security, both defensive and offensive, within a cybersecurity System Integrator.

What You Will Do

• Deploy, tune, and maintain WAF, Database Firewall, and Vulnerability Assessment solutions.
• Leverage automation for testing and to minimise false positives.
• Conduct POCs requested by Sales or customers.
• Deliver Web Application Security consulting and collaborate with vendors on in-depth troubleshooting.
• Provide day-to-day standby service and 24x7 operations.
• Create necessary project documentation for knowledge transfer, and keep the team updated on new technologies.

What You Will Need

• Hands-on experience with WAF and DDoS mitigation, not just instructing vendors.
• Continuous self-learning mindset, with a strong interest in web application/API security trends.
• Ready for on-call 24/7 support, onsite work, and MA (maintenance agreement) duties.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Hands-on scripting experience (Python/PHP/SQL), with experience in JSON/REST/SOAP/OAuth.
• Knowledge of OWASP, networking, hardware, and web server technologies.
• Plus: CEH, ECSA, CySA+, GWEB, or equivalent certifications
