Senior Waiter

The Senior Waiter is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant. The role includes assisting in coordinating service activities, guiding junior service staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional food and beverage service to guests.
• Welcome guests, present menus, explain dishes, take orders, and serve food and beverages.
• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and maintenance of dining and service areas.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Assist in guiding junior waiters and other service associates during daily operations.
• Handle guest requests and minor complaints professionally and escalate issues when required.
• Ensure proper grooming, discipline, and adherence to service standards.
• Follow restaurant SOPs, hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Ensure accurate order taking, billing, and payment procedures.
• Assist with restaurant opening and closing activities, including table setup and service preparation.
• Support banquet setups, events, and special functions as required.
• Monitor service supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist the F&B Captain or Supervisor in daily operations and other assigned duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or certificate in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Food & Beverage Service preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in food and beverage service in hotels, resorts, or restaurants.
• Previous experience as a Waiter or Senior Waiter preferred.
• Good communication and guest-handling skills.
• Strong teamwork and coordination abilities.
• Basic knowledge of restaurant operations, billing, and POS systems.
• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Well-groomed appearance and professional conduct.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in resort restaurants, banquets, or multi-cuisine operations.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and menu presentation.
• Ability to guide and support junior service staff.
• Familiarity with order management and billing procedures.
• Understanding of hygiene, safety, and hospitality service standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
