Build Something Meaningful in Austin
Are you an experienced H&H or drainage professional looking for an opportunity to take the next step in your career and make a lasting impact in the Austin market?
We're is looking for an H&H Team Leader / Senior Project Manager to help grow its Austin presence. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects, lead technical teams, build strong client relationships, and play a key role in shaping a growing office.
With the backing of an established Texas-based firm, you'll have the technical resources to deliver complex projects while enjoying the flexibility, autonomy, and close-knit culture of a smaller company.
What You'll Do
- Lead H&H, drainage, and water resources projects from planning through delivery.
- Provide technical oversight and manage project budgets, schedules, and team coordination.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, municipalities, and industry partners.
- Lead client meetings and serve as a trusted technical point of contact.
- Support proposals, RFQs, and other initiatives that contribute to the firm's growth.
- Mentor engineers and help develop the Austin team as the office expands.
- Collaborate with company leadership and technical teams across Texas.
- Take an active role in establishing and growing the firm's presence in the Austin market.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in H&H, drainage, or water resources engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification preferred, but not required.
- Strong technical background in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage design.
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and ArcGIS.
- Previous project management, team leadership, or senior-level engineering experience.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and help guide a growing team.
Business development experience is a plus, not a requirement. The primary focus is on technical leadership, project delivery, and client relationships. Existing connections in the Austin market would be valuable, but the right person does not need to bring an established book of business.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation based on experience.
- Profit-sharing and bonus opportunities.
- Potential additional compensation tied to company growth.
- Potential associateship opportunity for the right individual.
- Hybrid working arrangement and flexible hours.
- Strong emphasis on work-life balance.
- Competitive benefits, including 401(k), FSA, and paid holidays.
- Opportunities for conferences, industry events, and professional development.
Ready to Make an Impact?
If you're looking for a leadership opportunity where you can put your technical experience to work, help grow a team, and leave your mark on Austin's evolving infrastructure, this could be the right next step.
