Senior WordPress Front-End Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer with a strong front-end focus and a genuine eye for design. You will own the creation of high-impact landing pages, modify and extend WordPress themes, and ensure every page is fast, search-friendly, and visually polished. Think Apple-style product pages: cinematic scroll experiences, smooth animations, crisp typography, and storytelling that converts.

This role suits someone who can take a concept from design to live page on their own: sketching the layout, designing it, and building it pixel-perfect in WordPress and Elementor. Clear communication in English is essential, as you will work closely with marketing, content, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build high-converting landing pages and product pages in WordPress, with Apple-style scroll-driven storytelling, transitions, and micro-interactions.
• Translate designs (Figma, Adobe XD, or your own concepts) into pixel-perfect, responsive pages across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Create original page designs when needed: layout, typography, color, imagery, and visual hierarchy.
• Build and customize pages in Elementor (including Elementor Pro, custom widgets, and theme builder templates).
• Modify, extend, and maintain WordPress themes, including child themes, custom templates, and template parts.
• Develop advanced CSS and JavaScript animations (e.g., GSAP, ScrollTrigger, CSS keyframes, Intersection Observer, Lottie) that remain smooth and performant.
• Implement on-page and technical SEO best practices: semantic HTML, meta data, schema markup, site structure, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals.
• Optimize content and markup for AI Search Optimization (ASO), so pages are well structured for AI assistants, featured snippets, and voice search (FAQ schema, concise answers, entity-rich content).
• Optimize page speed and performance: image optimization, lazy loading, caching, and minimizing render-blocking assets.
• Occasionally develop lightweight custom plugins or extend existing ones to add needed functionality.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility (WCAG) standards.
• Communicate progress, trade-offs, and ideas clearly with marketing, design, and leadership teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience, with a strong front-end focus.
• Expert-level HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid, custom properties, transitions, keyframes), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven experience creating complex CSS and JS animations; hands-on experience with GSAP or similar libraries is highly valued.
• A portfolio showing premium, product-style landing pages (Apple-like or similar quality).
• Strong design sense and ability to design pages yourself in Figma (or similar), then build them.
• Advanced proficiency with Elementor and Elementor Pro.
• Solid experience modifying WordPress themes, child themes, hooks, filters, and the template hierarchy.
• Working knowledge of PHP sufficient for theme customization and occasional plugin development.
• Strong understanding of SEO (technical and on-page) and familiarity with AEO concepts and structured data.
• Experience with performance optimization and tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, and Search Console.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Gutenberg block editor and custom block development.
• Familiarity with WebGL, Three.js, or video-based scroll sequences.
• Experience with SEO plugins such as Yoast, Rank Math, or SEOPress.
• Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing.
• Experience with Git, staging environments, and deployment workflows.
• Basic copywriting or UX writing skills.
