About the role

This is an opportunity to be part of a team that does things a little differently.

Our clients range from start-up farming businesses through to large, complex farming operations. You’ll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, broaden your technical knowledge and get involved in work that goes beyond traditional accounting compliance.

At AgriFocus, we work alongside our clients to understand their goals and help them make informed business decisions. This includes areas such as benchmarking, forecasting and farm financial management.

We’re looking for someone with accounting experience who can bring confidence, initiative and a practical, can-do attitude to the role. You’ll have the opportunity to take on responsibility, develop your skills and build a rewarding career, whether your goal is to become an Accounting Technician, a Chartered Accountant or to continue growing your expertise in rural business.

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in people who bring the right mix of experience, attitude and enthusiasm.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Experience working in an accounting practice or a similar accounting environment.
• A good understanding of Xero and other accounting software.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and the confidence to take initiative.
• A collaborative approach and a genuine willingness to be part of a team.
• An interest in the rural sector and a desire to help clients succeed.

Most importantly, we’re looking for the right person. If you have solid accounting experience, enjoy working with clients and are keen to keep learning, we’re open to a conversation about how you could fit into our team.
