Senior/Lead Big Data Engineer (Scala/Spark)

The project focuses on building a unified architecture and centralized platform for analytics data ingestion, storage, and interactive querying. We are looking for a candidate who can take full ownership of this core infrastructure and lead it through to production. This system will serve as the backend foundation for several high-impact front-end applications, with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Development of Spark jobs for data sync between different storages
• Big data development of pipelines and infrastructure.
• Planning and pushing to production the data schemas for warehousing
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful services and microservices.
• Manage real-time data streams using Kafka.
• Write efficient backend code in Java/Scala.
• Optimize Postgres databases and handle complex queries.
• Create automated build processes using Gradle.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Spark and Scala
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop
• Proficiency in processing and computation frameworks: Kafka, Spark
• Experience with database engines: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Teradata, Cassandra
• Understanding of distributed computing technologies, approaches, and patterns

• Experience with Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, or analytics systems
