Senior/Lead Data Engineer

Sr/Lead Databricks Engineer, Long-Term B2B Contract | €550–650/day | Fully Remote Europe

I am currently looking for x2 Senior Databricks Engineers for an opportunity with a leading consultancy. This is a hands-on engineering role within a large-scale data environment, focused on building and improving modern data platforms.

The Role:

You’ll be working across:

• Databricks and Delta Lake
• Python and PySpark
• SQL and data engineering
• Data pipelines and ETL/ELT
• Performance and platform optimisation
• Azure cloud infrastructure
• Kubernetes and containerised environments
• Data architecture and scalable solutions
• Troubleshooting and production support

The team is looking for someone who can build, optimise and challenge existing solutions, with a strong focus on scalability, performance and modern data/AI engineering practices.

What They’re Looking For:

• 2-3+ years of hands-on Databricks experience
• Strong Python and PySpark
• Excellent SQL
• Experience working with Azure
• Kubernetes experience
• Strong understanding of data engineering and architecture
• Experience optimising Databricks/Spark workloads
• Comfortable working independently in a senior engineering capacity
• Databricks certifications would be nice to have too!

Contract Details:

Rate: €550–650/day B2B

Duration: Long-term, 12 months+

Location: Fully remote across Europe
