Job Summary:

Lead and manage the preparation, coordination, and delivery of project specifications across multiple disciplines and project stages. Ensure specifications align with design intent, client requirements, applicable codes and standards, sustainability objectives, and project documentation while providing technical leadership and mentoring to specification writing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Specification Development & Technical Writing

• Prepare, review, and manage project specifications from concept design through IFC stages.

• Ensure specifications are coordinated with drawings, BIM models, and project documentation.

• Develop clear, accurate, and comprehensive technical specifications in line with project requirements.

• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of master specifications, templates, and best-practice documents.

• Ensure compliance with relevant international codes, standards, regulations, and quality requirements.

• Evaluate materials, products, and systems to support informed specification decisions and coordination skills with multidisciplinary team.

Project Coordination

• • Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of specifications into project delivery.
• • Coordinate with project stakeholders to align specifications with project schedules, budgets, and performance requirements.
• • Participate in technical reviews, design coordination meetings, and vendor/product evaluations.
• • Support project teams in resolving specification-related technical issues.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• • Conduct QA/QC reviews of specifications and related documentation.
• • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all project specifications.
• • Support the implementation and maintenance of specification standards and governance frameworks.
• • Promote best practices in technical documentation and specification management.

• Provide technical guidance, review, and mentorship to junior specification writers.

• Support knowledge sharing, training, and professional development within the team.

• Contribute to the advancement of specification-writing practices, tools, and methodologies.

• Act as a subject matter expert for specification-related matters across projects.

𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

• Promote the integration of sustainability requirements and environmental considerations into project specifications.

• Support the adoption of digital tools, BIM integration, and emerging technologies related to specification management.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of specification processes and workflows.

Essential Job Requirement:

• • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• • Proven experience in specification writing, technical documentation, construction materials, and building systems.
• • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design documentation, and project delivery processes.
• • Knowledge of international codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• • Familiarity with specification software, BIM integration, and digital documentation tools.
