Senior.NET Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Engineer with strong expertise in C#, .NET, and gRPC to design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend services and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable applications, implementing efficient service-to-service communication, and working with distributed data platforms. Experience with Apache technologies, real-time data distribution, and low-latency systems is highly desirable.

A background in hedge funds, quantitative trading, capital markets, or financial services would be a significant advantage, particularly for candidates who have worked on performance-critical systems involving real-time market data or high-volume financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using C# and modern .NET.
• Implement and optimize gRPC-based communication between distributed services using Protocol Buffers.
• Design and build distributed systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, concurrency, and low latency.
• Develop and maintain data distribution, messaging, and streaming solutions for high-throughput applications.
• Integrate .NET services with Apache-based technologies and other distributed messaging or data-processing platforms.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application throughput, memory usage, and response times.
• Implement robust error handling, fault tolerance, and monitoring for production systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable software solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical design discussions, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support the continuous improvement of system performance and stability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands-on experience in C# and .NET.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining gRPC services and implementing service-to-service communication using Protocol Buffers.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, asynchronous programming, and concurrency.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend applications.
• Solid understanding of API design, object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience with debugging, performance profiling, and production troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with automated testing, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Apache technologies, particularly Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, Apache Ignite, or similar distributed messaging, streaming, and data-processing platforms.
• Hands-on experience with data distribution architectures, publish/subscribe messaging, event-driven systems, and real-time data streaming.
• Strong understanding of low-latency application design, high-throughput processing, multithreading, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, cloud infrastructure, and application observability tools.
• Experience in hedge funds, quantitative trading, capital markets, investment banking, or financial technology, particularly working with real-time market data feeds, trading platforms, pricing engines, or financial data distribution systems.
• Understanding of the performance, scalability, reliability, and latency requirements of financial trading environments.
