Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer - Data Center

About the role

Lead the design of electrical systems for data centers and other critical facilities while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and ensuring that project deliverables meet their expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical systems for data centers and other critical facilities while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Preparation of Electrical system design calculations, estimation, and schemes
• Design of Lighting, Power, cable tray, Earthing, and Equipment layouts
• Review technical drawings, schematics, and construction documentation
• Liaise with design teams across the APAC region to ensure alignment on project objectives, best practices, and design standards
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and ensuring that project deliverables meet their expectations
• Facilitate coordination between various disciplines (MEP, Architecture, structural, civil) to ensure integrated design solutions

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Fluency in English
• Extensive 8 - 15 years of experience in Electrical design consultancy or relevant roles
• Proficient in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Proven experience in managing a team and mentoring junior staff, either within the same office or across different countries
• Experience in Data Centres projects or similar critical facilities would be advantageous
