About the Role

We are looking for a front-end developer who combines strong engineering skills with a deep understanding of technical SEO. You will build and maintain high-performance, accessible, and search-engine-friendly web experiences, working closely with SEO and marketing teams to ensure that every line of code contributes to organic visibility and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• SEO-Friendly Development — Build and maintain web pages and components with SEO best practices embedded from the ground up — including semantic HTML, metadata, structured data, and canonicalisation.

• Performance Optimisation — Optimise front-end performance for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, FID/INP), lazy loading, image optimisation, and render-blocking resource management.

• Rendering & Crawlability — Ensure JavaScript-rendered content is properly crawlable and indexable; manage SSR, SSG, and hydration considerations in collaboration with the SEO team.

• Component Development — Design and build reusable, accessible UI components in line with design systems and brand guidelines.

• SEO Collaboration — Act as the primary technical bridge between the SEO team and engineering, translating SEO requirements into precise, testable development tasks.

• A/B & Experimentation — Support front-end implementation of A/B tests and SEO experiments using feature flags or testing frameworks.

• Code Quality — Write clean, maintainable code; participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of front-end development experience with a strong SEO awareness

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+); experience with React, Next.js, or Vue.js

• Solid understanding of technical SEO concepts: crawlability, indexability, structured data, Core Web Vitals, hreflang

• Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) and their SEO implications

• Familiarity with Google Search Console, Lighthouse, and PageSpeed Insights

• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and their overlap with SEO

• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working within large-scale, multi-language web projects

• Familiarity with schema markup, JSON-LD, and Open Graph implementation

• Background in performance-first or SEO-led product teams
