Responsibilities & Context

Technical SEO

• Run full technical audits - crawlability, indexation, site architecture, and internal linking.
• Diagnose & fix crawl errors, broken links, redirect chains, duplicate content, and canonical issues.
• Manage robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, pagination, and hreflang where applicable.
• Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals and page speed in coordination with the development team.
• Implement and validate schema markup (Article, FAQ, HowTo, Product, LocalBusiness, Organization).
• Keep Google Search Console clean - resolve coverage, enhancement, and manual action issues.
• Write clear technical tickets for developers and verify the fixes after deployment.

On-Page & Content SEO

• Conduct keyword research, search intent mapping, and topic clustering.
• Optimize titles, meta descriptions, headings, URL structure, image alt text, and internal links.
• Brief and coordinate with content writers, then review published content for SEO compliance.
• Identify content gaps and SERP opportunities against competitors.
• Optimize content for featured snippets and AI-driven search platforms (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity).

Off-Page SEO

• Plan and execute link-building, guest posting, and outreach campaigns.
• Quality link prospects on real metrics and relevance, not volume.
• Monitor backlink profile health and disavow toxic links where required.

Reporting & Communication

• Track rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and visibility using GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, and Semrush.
• Prepare clear monthly performance reports with findings and recommended next actions.
• Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations directly with international clients in English.
• Stay current with Google algorithm updates, search trends, and AI search developments.

Additional Requirements

• Strong technical SEO skills - this is the core requirement of the role and will be tested.
• Working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, and Google Tag Manager basics.
• Hands-on experience with Ahrefs, Semrush, or Screaming Frog.
• Understanding of schema markup and structured data.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and how a website is built.
• WordPress experience (publishing, plugins, basic troubleshooting)
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to priorities fixes by impact.
• Ability to manage multiple websites and deadlines at the same time.
• Experience in running Google Ads campaigns.
• Experience in running social media ads (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn)
• Experience working with US, UK, Canada, Australia, or European clients.
• Agency or international client-servicing background.
• Experience with GEO/AEO and AI search optimization.
• Shopify, WooCommerce, or other Ecommerce SEO experience.
• Local SEO and Google Business Profile Management.
• Preferred degrees are Bachelor/Honors, Diploma.
