SEO Intern

We are looking for a motivated and career-focused SEO Intern to join our digital marketing team. This is a hands-on, long-term paid internship for someone who genuinely wants to build a career in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), digital marketing, and organic growth.

This is not a suitable role for someone looking only to complete an internship requirement, receive a certificate, or gain a few weeks of experience.

The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in SEO, be willing to learn, and be able to commit consistently to a full-time, on-site internship.

What You Will Learn & Work On

As an SEO Intern, you will work on real websites and live SEO projects under the guidance of our digital marketing team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting keyword research and identifying relevant search opportunities
• Learning and implementing on-page SEO
• Optimizing page titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, and content
• Performing competitor SEO analysis
• Assisting with technical SEO audits and identifying website issues
• Learning local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
• Supporting off-page SEO and link-building activities
• Finding relevant backlink and content opportunities
• Assisting with SEO content planning and optimization
• Monitoring Google Search Console and Google Analytics
• Tracking keyword rankings, organic traffic, and SEO performance
• Performing website and content audits
• Supporting SEO reporting and maintaining performance records
• Researching SEO trends, search intent, and Google algorithm updates
• Working with WordPress and basic website optimization
• Supporting SEO strategies for Australian and international businesses

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is serious about SEO as a career.

Required:

• Basic understanding of SEO concepts
• Strong interest in Search Engine Optimization and Digital Marketing
• Willingness to learn and apply SEO techniques practically
• Good research and analytical skills
• Basic understanding of keywords, search intent, backlinks, and on-page SEO
• Good written and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
• Ability to commit to a full-time, on-site internship
• Willingness to commit for at least 6 months

Preferred:

• Completed an SEO course, certification, or practical training
• Previous SEO internship, freelance, academic, or personal project experience
• Basic knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, Ubersuggest, or similar SEO tools
• Basic WordPress knowledge
• Understanding of technical SEO or local SEO
• Experience managing or optimizing a personal website/blog
• Basic knowledge of content writing or digital marketing

Fresh graduates and candidates with limited professional experience are welcome to apply if they have genuine SEO knowledge and can demonstrate what they have learned.

Important: Full-Time Commitment

This is a full-time, on-site internship.

Candidates who are currently enrolled in university/college and cannot manage a consistent full-time work schedule should not apply.

We are looking for candidates who can give proper time and commitment to the internship and are interested in staying with the company for the long term.
