SEO Manager

About the role

At SearchMax, you will join a Melbourne-based Google Premier Partner delivering results for clients across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. You will get exposure to well-funded campaigns, a wide mix of industries, and a team that will help you sharpen your skills and keep moving forward.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement SEO strategies for our clients
• Manage multiple SEO campaigns and maintain strong client relationships
• Collaborate with the SEO and Content teams to create content strategies, conduct keyword research, and implement on-page optimisations
• Manage link-building campaigns with the help of the SEO team
• Perform technical SEO audits and work with the SEO and Web Development teams to identify and implement fixes
• Monitor and analyse SEO campaign performance and provide insights and actionable recommendations through detailed monthly reports
• Work alongside agency partners
• Manage client communications

About you

• Minimum of 3 years in the SEO field, ideally in roles like SEO Manager or SEO Specialist
• Well-rounded knowledge in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
• Knowledge/experience in E-commerce SEO
• Proficiency with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4
• Experience with WordPress and Shopify
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent presentation skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Outstanding time and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks
• Highly organised and detail-oriented
