SEO Specialist - Web Developer Background (Remote)

We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and results-driven SEO Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead and execute search engine optimization initiatives that drive qualified organic traffic, increase search engine rankings, and improve user engagement across all digital platforms. Beyond traditional SEO, this role requires expertise in transitioning from SEO-focused strategies to AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Global/Local Optimization), and understanding technical data structures captured through MCP (Master Content Platform). This role will collaborate with content creators, developers, and marketers to implement both technical and content-focused SEO best practices.

This role goes beyond execution—it's about ownership, mentorship, and driving results. The ideal candidate is the go-to expert in all things SEO—able to lead strategy, train and upskill team members, and ensure we stay ahead in an evolving search landscape that includes AI-driven search, answer engines, and global/local search considerations. This role is both strategic and hands-on, working closely with cross-functional teams to maximize visibility, engagement, and ROI.

DAILY DELIVERABLES

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO, AEO, and GEO strategies that align with business objectives.
• Conduct regular audits and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and gaps, including opportunities driven by AI search algorithms and global/local search behavior.
• Set, monitor, and report on KPIs such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, bounce rates, and conversions, and AEO/GEO-driven metrics such as answer box visibility, voice search performance, and local/global search reach.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align SEO, AEO, and GEO initiatives with business goals and customer intent.
• Mentor, coach, and train junior specialists and content teams on SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest algorithm changes, emerging SEO tools/trends, and evolving technologies impacting MCP data capture and structured content.
• Guide keyword research, clustering, and intent mapping for content and product teams, ensuring alignment with semantic search, voice search, and global/local search frameworks.
• Translate technical SEO and MCP data structure concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients
• Ensure optimal on-page execution: meta tags, headings, internal linking, content quality, and structured data integration that supports AEO/GEO outcomes.
• Partner with dev teams to implement structured data, fix indexation issues, and enhance mobile usability.
• Conduct technical SEO audits and collaborate with developers to resolve site issues.
• Execute Core Web Vitals improvements, optimizing for LCP, INP, and CLS.
• Implement and maintain structured data using JSON-LD to enhance SERP appearance.
• Manage crawlability and indexability through robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, hreflang, and Search Console.
• Optimize JavaScript SEO for frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue using SSR and dynamic rendering.
• Perform log file analysis to understand Googlebot behavior and improve server response times.
• Ensure strong technical content structure by maintaining clean URLs, internal linking, and clear content hierarchy.
• Monitor SEO performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Looker Studio.
• Present findings and opportunities to marketing leadership with clear strategic impact, including recommendations for AEO/GEO adoption and MCP-driven optimization.
• Contribute to the company’s growth roadmap by identifying long-term organic and answer engine opportunities.
• Web Development; builds, codes, and maintains websites and web applications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Expert-level understanding of all SEO disciplines (technical, on-page, off-page) and familiarity with AEO, GEO, and MCP-driven search optimization.
• At least 1 year in a leadership or client-facing role.
• Proficiency in SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, plus AEO/GEO performance tracking tools if applicable.
• Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify), and schema markup is a plus.
• Familiarity with PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or Core Web Vitals monitoring.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO, AEO/GEO, MCP-driven data optimization, and algorithm changes.
• Experience in cross-functional search strategy leadership, guiding teams to transition from SEO-only optimization to full search ecosystem integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, IT, or any related field is preferred.
• Certifications in structured data, AEO/GEO frameworks, or MCP platforms are a plus.
