• Manage Scania servers, including VMware vSphere server cluster, and backup servers, their associated operating systems and software.
• Manage onprem AI computing infrastructure
• Manage onprem HPC simulation infrastructure
• Storage platform (Huawei/Dell) management and monitor including SAN/NAS applied in both corp and factory zone.
• Perform server system design and capacity planning together with central lead architect and SMEs
• Manger security solutions, including anti-virus and patches security updates following Scania globe standard
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and associated optimization plans for server and storage resource administration, appropriate use and disaster recovery drill.
• Server and storage asset and lifecycle management
• Ensure network connectivity of all server and storage nodes.
• Ensure system backups and recovery, which performed by supplier, following application BIA requirement with fulfilled RTO/RPO strictly.
• Monitor and test server performance and provide server performance statistics and reports
• Project control and change management during whole project life-circle period To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Server & Storage Technologies and Architecture Management:
• Perform continuous operations and solution design of server & storage infrastructure (e.g. Server Virtualization – VMware/Hyper-V，High availability concept – MS Cluster, Dual-active storage architecture).
• Perform VMware Cluster topology design, daily status monitoring and maintenance, regular status reports, business application system deployment and maintenance.
• Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of server system following security policy of Scania and ISec
• Perform backup architecture design, maintenance, monitor on existing platform. Experience and deep understanding on various of backup strategy and policy applied in business requirement according to BIA analysis.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
• Proactively monitor Application and Server tools to ensure the Incident, Service Request and Problem management SLAs are being fulfilled
• Proactively monitor Application and Server to ensure availability and capacity is acceptable and raise any related concerns to management following Scania ITSM process.
• Ensure Change and Release management process and procedures are adhered to and correct process following Scania ITSTM to mitigate against unplanned downtime and service outages
• System Operation & Maintenance Engineer: Responsible for monitoring NPU utilization, video memory and other operating statuses; managing software versions including CANN, vLLM, PyTorch; and conducting cluster management and scheduling based on Kubernetes and Volcano.
• AI Platform & Algorithm Engineer: In charge of algorithm migration and adaptation, operator adaptation, as well as algorithm accuracy optimization and tuning.
• Security and Compliance Management: Responsible for server access control policies, pre-processing and post-processing of model training data, and regular vulnerability scanning.
• HPC resource and capacity planning and management
• HPC hardware and platform operation and management including hardware, container operation system and cluster scheduling platform Server & Storage Quality of Service Management
• Work as SPOC (single point of contact) between globe lead architects, SMEs, outsourced supplier and local departments and teams as a bridge, understand business demand and map the scania server and storage architecture design providing the high performance and secure solutions and services.
• the Benchmark and review performance of online servers and storages as periodic baseline reference
• Manage outsourcing service partners against SOWs and SLAs continuously to ensure service standard improvement
• Conduct risk assessment and develop mitigation plans, perform incident analysis and suggest action items
• Work with the team to develop problem management and active service improvement plans Project Management:
• Drive request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) process and evaluate the technical proposals
• Ensure all projects are following the PI plan: delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Develop detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Report and escalate deviations to management as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks Education and/or Experience Bachelor Degree or above Fluent both oral and written English Min. 5 years working experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Project management skills (PMP) ITIL process management skills. Familiar with Huawei storage technical stack is preferred
