Server Assistant

Overview

Butcher & Thief Steakhouse is looking for a server assistant to join our front of house family! In this role, you will support the front-of-house team by ensuring smooth service operations, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food and beverage delivery. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and commitment to hospitality will help create memorable moments for our guests.

Duties

• Assist servers by bussing tables promptly, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
• Support food running tasks by delivering orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas including dining spaces, service stations, and kitchen support areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing
• Handle manual tasks such as lifting of supplies, dishes, and equipment using safe lifting practices to prevent injury
• Provide friendly, in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server assistant/busser in a full-service restaurant is highly preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain an SNHD food handler's certification.
• Must be available 3/4 days per week. Open availability is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting techniques
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests
• Familiarity with banquet service or catering environments is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
