Duties

• Support servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to maintain a clean dining area.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as setting up stations, garnishing dishes, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
• Help with food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and trash removal.
• Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks or ingredient prep as needed to facilitate smooth meal service.
• Take in-person guest orders accurately using POS systems like Aloha or Micros POS; handle cash transactions responsibly.
• Provide excellent guest relations through friendly communication, phone etiquette, and attentive service to enhance overall guest experience.
• Assist with beverage preparation and serve drinks promptly during busy hours or special events such as banquets or catering functions.
• Support delivery drivers or catering staff with setup or order transport when required.
• Uphold food safety standards at all times and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is highly desirable; experience as a host/hostess or banquet server is a plus.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, dishwashing procedures, and basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent guest service and maintain professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Experience with beverage preparation, catering events, or culinary tasks like knife skills and meat cutting is advantageous.
• Commitment to food safety practices and understanding of dietary accommodations when serving guests.
• Flexibility to support various roles within the restaurant including bussing, cleaning, food prep, or delivery assistance as needed.
