28 nomad is a contemporary Asian restaurant in New York City’s NoMad neighborhood, offering a seasonal, seafood-forward menu alongside a thoughtful cocktail and wine program. Our style of service is warm, attentive, and approachable, with a focus on creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Server Assistant to join our front-of-house team. This is a hands-on support position focused primarily on running food, clearing and resetting tables, and helping the service team keep the dining room organized and running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Run food from the kitchen to guests accurately and efficiently
• Clear and reset tables throughout service
• Maintain clean and organized tables and service stations
• Refill water and assist with basic guest needs
• Support servers and bartenders during service
• Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
• Help with opening and closing side work
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room
• Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Good communication and attention to detail
• Able to stand for extended periods and carry plates, trays, and bus tubs
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate

We are a small, hands-on team, so we’re looking for someone who is dependable, moves with a sense of urgency, and is comfortable supporting different areas of service when needed.
