Server Assistant

Job Summary

Duties

• Assist servers by clearing and bussing tables promptly to maintain a clean dining area
• Support food running duties by delivering dishes from the kitchen to guests efficiently and accurately
• Help with food preparation and food handling tasks in accordance with food safety standards
• Perform cleaning duties including wiping down tables, chairs, and service stations to uphold hygiene standards
• Handle manual lifting and heavy lifting tasks safely when moving supplies or equipment
• Support kitchen operations through basic prep work and ensuring smooth flow of food service
• Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and processing transactions accurately
• Maintain excellent communication with team members to ensure guest needs are met promptly and professionally

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Familiarity with food handling, safety procedures, and basic culinary practices is advantageous
• Experience with POS systems like Chowbus enhances efficiency in order processing
• Strong communication skills are essential for teamwork
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including bussing, serving, and supporting food safety protocols
• Hospitality or culinary experience helps in understanding guest expectations and delivering exceptional service
