Server Assistant

We are looking for energetic, team-oriented Server Assistants who enjoy staying active and helping create a smooth, welcoming experience for every guest. In this role, you’ll support servers, bartenders, and hosts by keeping the dining room clean and organized, resetting tables, running food, and stepping in wherever the team needs help.

At O.H.S.O., we believe in working smarter together rather than harder apart. Our front-of-house team uses a team-service model and pools tips, so communication, urgency, and teamwork are a big part of the job.

Dogs are also a big part of the O.H.S.O. experience, so you must enjoy having four-legged guests around!

Responsibilities

• Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized dining room, patio, and service areas
• Support servers, bartenders, and hosts throughout the shift
• Expedite orders from the food window and deliver food to guests
• Refill water and assist with other guest needs as directed
• Pre-bus tables and remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils
• Stock service stations and ensure supplies remain available
• Communicate clearly with front-of-house and kitchen team members
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service procedures
• Help create a quick, friendly, and welcoming experience for every guest

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Card
• Current Title 4 liquor certification
• High-volume restaurant experience preferred
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to teamwork
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to cleanliness
• Dependable, professional, and willing to help wherever needed
• Must love dogs

Pay

• $12.15 per hour plus pooled tips
• $15.15 per hour during training and required meetings

O.H.S.O. came to be when the three of us–Pat, Brian, and Jon–joined forces, blending our talents and shared passions. Pat had a background in the music business. Brian had years of experience in bar and restaurant management with a proven track record, creating owning and operating numerous successful bars, restaurants, and clubs. Our paths all converged while working at one of those establishments. Jon began as a door guy and quickly advanced, transitioning into roles as a bartender and manager until finally joining Brian in overseeing daily operations. Similarly, Pat made his mark as a sound guy, showcasing his talent for creating an exceptional atmosphere and booking bands while also being a musician. Driven by our shared joy of uniting people through food, drinks, and experiences, we knew we wanted to go beyond simply serving drinks. We aimed to create them and wanted our guests to be part of that magic too.
