Server Assistant

Job Summary

Openaire is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Team Member to support daily kitchen operations. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, ingredient handling, kitchen organization, cleaning, restocking, and other back-of-house duties while helping the culinary team maintain efficient service and high standards.

The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to detail, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with daily food preparation
• Wash, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients according to established procedures
• Assist with preparing, plating, and presenting menu items as assigned
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked kitchen workstations
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Restock ingredients, food products, supplies, utensils, and other kitchen items
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries
• Check food items for proper storage, freshness, and presentation
• Maintain clean floors, counters, prep areas, sinks, and other kitchen spaces
• Remove trash and follow proper waste-handling procedures
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Handle kitchen equipment, tools, and cleaning products safely
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties
• Communicate supply needs, equipment concerns, or other issues to supervisors
• Perform additional kitchen duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, food-service, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
• Basic food preparation experience is a plus
• Friendly, dependable, and professional attitude
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and established procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate loads when required

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
