Server Assistant

Duties

• Assist servers by bussing tables promptly, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to maintain a clean dining area
• Support food running tasks by delivering orders from the kitchen to guests accurately and swiftly
• Help with food preparation and handling in accordance with food safety standards to ensure quality and hygiene
• Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness of service areas
• Handle manual lifting of supplies, equipment, and food items using safe lifting practices to prevent injury
• Support the kitchen team with basic prep work or restocking supplies as needed during busy service times
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Toast.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
• Familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and basic culinary procedures is advantageous
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective teamwork and providing excellent guest service
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks comfortably throughout shifts
• Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided for new users
• Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service excellence will help you succeed in this lively setting
